Wicked welcomes new cast in London

Wicked welcomes new cast members this week with Eastenders David Witts among cast members turning up to London’s Apollo Theatre.

Best known to UK audiences as ‘Joey Branning’ in EastEnders, David has spent the last three years living and working in America on series Recovery Road (ABC/Freeform) and I Ship It (CW Network). He joins Wicked to play love-interest Fiyero.

Chris Jarman joins the cast as Doctor Dillamond. Chris most recently played ‘Hagrid’ and the ‘Sorting Hat’ in the original London cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. His other West End credits include ‘The General’ in the original cast of The Book of Mormon and ‘Shank’ in the original cast of Sister Act The Musical.

Rosa O’Reilly (Jesus Christ Superstar, Dirty Dancing) will play Nessarose, a role she has covered numerous times since joining the cast in 2016.

Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie & Maria Coyne* (Standby for Glinda) will all continue in their current roles.
