Leicesters Curve kicked off its 10th birthday celebrations in style with a glittering Gala event hosted by Danny Mac and Ria Jones.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal on Curve’s stage with performances taking place on specially created platforms in the theatre’s auditorium.
Hosted by Ria Jones and Danny Mac, the stars of Curve’s award-winning production of Sunset Boulevard, Curve’s Gala event featured performances and speeches from Molly Lynch, Dex Lee, Jessica Paul, Cathy Tyson, Sheep Soup, Shobna Gulati, Jonny Fines, Emma Williams, Jodie Prenger, Anton Stephans, Matt Terry, the theatre’s Curve Young Company performers and the hosts themselves.
A major UK regional theatre, Leicester Curve was officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 2008 and has staged numerous productions including Sunset Boulevard (2017), Annie (2017) Breakfast at Tiffany’s (2016), The Sound of Music (2014–15), Hairspray (2014 and 2015), Chicago (2013–14) as well as playing host to touring productions of Matilda The Musical (2018), Miss Saigon (2017), Mary Poppins (2015) and Barnum (2014).
