BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do runner-up Keith Jack, singer and TV presenter Mica Paris and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter will front a 30th Anniversary UK Tour of Fame – The Musical.
Based on the 1980 musical film of the same name, the musical tells the story of several students who attend New York’s High School For The Performing Arts as they navigate their way through the highs and lows, the romances and the heartbreaks and the ultimate elation of life.
A bittersweet but uplifting musical, thirty years on, the show still explores the issues that confront many young people today: prejudice, identity, pride, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance
The extensive tour begins previews at the Manchester Palace Theatre on 20 July 2018 and will travel up and down the UK visiting over 30 theatres in 2018 and 2019.
The cast also includes Hayley Johnston, Stephanie Rojas, Molly McGuire, Jamal Crawford, Albey Brooks, Louisa Beadel, Simon Anthony, Alexander Zane, Katie Warsop, Dermot Canavan, Cameron Johnson, Rebecca French, Daisy Twells, Tom Mussell, Morgan Jackson, Ryan Kayode.
