Jonathan Pryce will appear in The Height of the Storm, a new play by internationally acclaimed writer Florian Zeller.

Lauded for his versatility, Jonathan Pryce is a multi-award winning actor known for his Tony Award winning performances in Miss Saigon and Comedians, as well as films hit films EvitaTomorrow Never Dies, Stigmata and most recently the television series Game Of Thrones.

Jonathan Pryce’s previous theatre roles

Jonathan’s extensive career on stage includes classical roles in The Taming of the Shrew, Antony and Cleopatra, Measure for Measure and Macbeth for the RSC and Hamlet at the Royal Court Theatre, for which he won an Olivier Award.

He has performed in contemporary plays (The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Glengarry Glen Ross & The Caretaker) as well as musicals (Olivier!, Miss Saigon, My Fair Lady) in both the West End and Broadway.

Jonathan Pryce’s film and tv roles

Jonathan Pryce’s career on screen was launched with his role in Terry Gilliam’s Brazil, and led to parts in James Foley’s Glengarry Glen Ross, Carrington, Evita and successful blockbusters such as Tomorrow Never Dies, the G.I. Joe films and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Pryce’s recent work includes Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote alongside Adam Driver; The Man Who Invented Christmas alongside Dan Stevens and Christopher Plummer, and The Wife opposite Glenn Close.

He is currently filming upcoming Netflix feature The Pope alongside Anthony Hopkins, directed by Fernando Meirelles.

His other recent television roles include Cardinal Wolsey in the award-winning adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall and High Sparrow in the hugely successful series Game of Thrones.
