Julian’s other recent stage credits includes playing the narrator, Sir Philip (“Pip”) Bin, in Mark Evan’s Charles Dickens mash up Bleak Expectations at the Criterion Theatre; and starring in the annual London Palladium panto.
A popular British comedian, Julian made his TV debut in 1989 with Trick or Treat an ITV quiz show and Sticky Moments on Channel 4.
A regular BBC Radio 4 panelist on Just a Minute, Clary has toured the UK many times with his one man show, including The Joy of Mincing and new tour Born to Mince, and appeared in the play Le Grand Mort at the Trafalgar Studios in 2017.
The winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2012, Julian Clary has also acted in films, television and stage productions.
He played Leigh Bowery in the West End musical Taboo in 2002, the much coveted role of ‘Emcee’, in Rufus Norris’s Olivier Award-winning production of Cabaret (2007), and in 2009 he took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Tour, partnering with Lilia Kopylova.
Julian was recently playing in a UK tour of Ronald Harwood’s The Dresser, playing Norman alongside Matthew Kelly as ‘Sir’.
