The production is led by Olivier Award-winning actress Sharon D. Clarke who will reprise her virtuoso performance as Caroline Thibodeaux when it transfer to Playhouse Theatre from 20 November 2018.

Clarke plays Caroline Thibodeaux, a maid idolised by by Noah, young boy who is struggling with the death of this mother and remarriage of his father.

Partly inspired by his own boyhood, the book and lyrics are by Tony Kushner (Angels In America) and is a playful, funny, and deeply moving portrait of America at a time of momentous social upheaval.

Jeanine Tesori’s (Titanic) uplifting and profound score melds soul, blues, classical and traditional Jewish folk music.
