Edinburgh Festival’s 2017 must see virtual reality show Frogman will play play London’s Shoreditch Town Hall
The coming-of-age, supernatural thriller combines Virtual Reality headsets and live theatre, to submerge audiences deep into Australia’s Great Barrier Reef in a truly ground-breaking production.
Three years in the making this new re-worked version will have an increased capacity of 50 audiences members, all simultaneously in VR, blending the lines between reality and fiction, the physical and the virtual.
The production features Georgina Strawson performing live on stage with voice work from Johnny Flynn, Anna Procter, Kate Shenton and Russell Woodhead.
The VR cast features four non-professional young actors – Ava Ryan, Indiah Morris, Sol Castanho, Milla Webb – from schools in Brisbane, Australia.
Frogman is directed by Jack Lowe and is a co-production between curious directive, Hull UK City of Culture 2017, The Deep Aquarium and The Old Market
Frogman will play London’s Shoreditch Town Hall from 4 to 14 April followed by further UK and international dates.
