Singer and actress Lulu will join the cast of 42nd Street in March.
Lulu will take on the iconic role of has-been actress Dorothy Brock, which is currently performed by Grammy Award winner Sheena Easton.
Also joining the cast from 19 March will be Ashley Day (An American in Paris) in the role of Billy Lawlor, while Tom Lister and Clare Halse continue as Julian Marsh and Peggy Sawyer.
Lulu returns to the West End after 30 years to join the cast of this dazzling hit production.
Since her debut role in the unforgetable 1967 film To Sir With Love opposite Sidney Poitier – for which she sang the hit title song – Lulu has collaborated with some of the greatest musical talents of our time – Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, The Beatles and David Bowie.
She made her West End debut in Richard Eyre’s Guys and Dolls.
42nd Street is one of those spectacular song and dance shows, which huge set pieces and includes some of the greatest songs ever written, such as ‘We’re In The Money’, ‘Lullaby of Broadway’, ‘Shuffle Off To Buffalo’, ‘Dames’, ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’, and ‘42nd Street’.
42nd Street is currently booking until 20 October 2018 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
