Nina Sosanya stars in Frozen at the Theatre Royal Haymarket

W1A’s Nina Sosanya will star in Bryony Lavery’s psychological drama about the disappearance and murder of a young girl.

Sosanya will play Agnetha, a psychiatrist brought in to examine the serial killer played by Jason Watkins with Suranne Jones playing the child’s mother.

A play about retribution, remorse and redemption, Frozen explores the interwoven lives of three strangers as they try to make sense of the unimaginable.

Nina Sosanya is known on television for Last Tango in Halfax, Marcella, Twenty Twelve and Teachers.

Her extensive theatre credits include Platonov and Ivanov, Antony and Cleopatra, Fix Up and House and Garden for the National Theatre, The Vote, Privacy and The Vortex (Donmar Warehouse), Cat On a Hot Tin Roof (Novello Theatre), Love’s Labour’s Lost, As You Like It, The Herbal Bed and Henry V for the RSC, The Nativity (Young Vic),  Deadmeat (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and Educating Rita (Southampton).

Frozen will be directed by Jonathan Munby, whose credits include King Lear with Ian McKellen, Anthony and Cleopatra starring Eve Best and Clive Wood, Company starring Daniel Evans, King Kong: Legend Of A Boxer and A Human Being Died That Night.

Frozen will run from 9 February 2018 until 5 May 2018 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
