Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Caroline, Or Change will transfer to Hampstead Theatre in London.
Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori’s celebrated musical Caroline, Or Change formed part of Chichester Festival’s summer season, which opened to rave reviews and sold out its limited run.
Sharon. D. Clarke will reprise her role as Caroline Thibodeaux in this highly anticipated transfer which is directed by Michael Longhurst.
Hampstead Theatre’s Artistic Director Edward Hall said “Tony Kushner’s work continues to enthral audiences around the world and we are thrilled that he will be returning to Hampstead”
Kushner’s previous works at Hampstead include The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a key to the Scriptures with Tamsin Greig last autumn and Slavs! in 1994.
Hampstead Theatre also announced it will stage the UK premiere of Sarah Burgess’ breathtakingly witty Dry Powder which will be directed by Anna Ledwich.
Dry Powder will run from 26 January 2018 until 3 March 2018, with Caroline, Or Change playing from 12 March 2018 until 21 April 2018 at Hampstead Theatre.
