Images of Imelda Staunton, Janie Dee and the cast of Follies have been released ahead of its official opening at the National Theatre next month.
Imelda Staunton and Janie Dee lead the cast of 37 in what is expected to be a dazzling production by Dominic Cooke.
The much loved musical follows two former chorus girls, played by Staunton & Dee, who attend a reunion of the famous Follies girls in the now decrepit and soon to be demolished Weismann theatre.
Stephen Sondheim’s score includes musical theatre classics I’m Still Here, Don’t Look At Me, Beautiful Girls, In Buddy’s Eyes, Too Many Mornings, Could I Leave You? and Broadway Baby.
Follies will run from 22 August 2017 until 3 January 2018 at the National Theatre.
