Footballers’ Wives and Hollyoakes’ Ben Richards will star with Gemma Wardle in Some Lovers at The Other Palace Theatre.
Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater‘s musical will headline From Page To Stage (FPTS) Summer Festival at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Other Palace Theatre.
Some Lovers is described as a valentine to New York; Set over twenty years, it is a love story caught between the present and the past, with two characters (Ben and Molly) played by four actors.
Ben Richards and Aaron Kavanagh will play Ben and Young Ben with Gemma Wardle and Jenna Innes playing Molly and Young Molly.
Ben Richards returns to the stage having played Frank Farmer in the The Bodyguard at the Dominion last year.
His extensive theatre credits include Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical (Palace Theatre), The Full Monty (Prince of Wales Theatre), Danny Zuko in Grease (Victoria Palace Theatre), Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium) and the UK tours of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, Rock Of Ages and Guys and Dolls.
Gemma Wardle’s West End theatre credits include Betty Blue Eyes and Les Miserables.
