Jamie Parker & Noma Dumezweni confirmed for Harry Potter on Broadway

Full casting has been announced for the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Curse Child.

No surprises, Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley) will reprise their roles from the original London production when it transfer to Broadway in March 2018.

Also transferring will be Sam Clemmett (Albus Potter), Poppy Miller (Ginny Potter), Alex Price (Draco Malfoy) and Anthony Boyle (Scorpius Malfoy).

They will be joined by a cast of 28 new actors in the production which officially opens at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway on 22 April 2018.

Written by Jack Thorne and directed by John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I and II is an original story that picks up 19 years after JK Rowling’s seventh book concluded.

The story follows an adult Harry Potter and his youngest son Albus who is struggling with the Potter legacy.

Box office and Tony Award expectations are high given it won a record breaking nine Olivier Awards including Best New Play and Best Director.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child continues to play at the Palace Theatre, London and is currently booking until 22 July 2018.
