The Other Palace Theatre has announced it will stage two ‘Work In Progress’ productions – Spilt Milk and Ever Onward.
Following Pitch Days held in May 2017, The Other Palace Theatre will stage performances of new shows Spilt Milk and Ever Onward.
Paul Taylor Mills, Artistic Director said, “I am thrilled that we have been able to, within the first 6 months of operating, find two brilliant new musicals to support and develop. This is at the heart of what we want to achieve at The Other Palace and I’m looking forward to working with the teams behind these two new projects.
Spilt Milk will be staged on 11 August 2017. Inspired by the 2015 Shoreditch riots and Cereal Killer Café, Spilt Milk explores the themes of community, acceptance and belonging in an ever-gentrified East London.
Spilt Milk features an original indie-pop-rock score by Adam Dickinson and Jennifer Hague, with book and lyrics by Jacob Dorrell and Tom Ling.
The second show, Ever Onward is supernatural thriller inspired by Sutton Vane’s play ‘Outward Bound’. Set aboard a luxury liner in 1925, the crew must determine why there are only five passengers aboard and where they are going. Ever Onward has book by Susannah Pearse and music and lyrics from Tim Connor
Pitch Days at The Other Palace offer artists and creative teams the chance to show their work, and receive advice and help with development, including staging of their productions to aid development.
Spilt Milk will play on 11 August 2017 and Ever Onward on 24 November 2017 at The Other Palace Theatre.
