Canadian Kris Nelson has been announced as the new artistic director and joint CEO of LIFT.
Kris is currently Festival Director of Dublin Fringe Festival, Ireland’s largest multi-disciplinary arts festival and one of the world’s only fully curated Fringe Festivals. Prior to his 4 years in Dublin where he has curated over 300 shows, he worked extensively as a director, dramaturg and artistic director in his native Canada.
Nelson joins LIFT in April 2018 however David Binder will lead next year’s LIFT 2018 Festival, which takes place in June, as Guest Artistic Director.

Nelson will be joint CEO with Beki Bateson.

Over the past 35 years it has presented shows in partnership with London’s major arts venues, theatres and galleries as well as countless hidden spaces across London.
