Martin Freeman stars in James Graham’s political comedy Labour of Love.

Martin Freeman will play Labour MP David Lyons in James Graham’s new political comedy with award winning actress Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley) playing his constituency agent Jean Whittaker.

Martin Freeman shot to fame portraying Tim in the UK version of BBC television series The Office. Since then he has starred as Dr Watson in the internationally acclaimed BBC series Sherlock alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, and played the lead role of Lester Nygaard, alongside Billy Bob Thornton, in the Coen brothers television adaptation of Fargo.

Martin’s stage credits include Jamie Lloyds production of Richard III (Trafalgar Studios), the critically acclaimed Clybourne Park and Kathy Burke’s Kosher Harry both for the Royal Court Theatre, and Blue Eyes and Heels (Soho Theatre).

Martin’s film credits include action film Captain America: Civil War, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, The Eichmann Show, Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy, Worlds End, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Richard Curtis’ world-wide hit, Love Actually.
