Danny Mac to star in Sunset Boulevard tour

BBC Strictly Come Dancing finalist Danny Mac is to star in the Sunset Boulevard tour

Mac will play the dashing yet fated Joe Gillis in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award®-winning musical of romance and obsession.

Since finishing on Strictly come Dancing, Mac has thrown himself into musical theatre projects and is currently starring as Gabey in Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s production of Broadway musical On The Town. He was due to play the Tom Hanks role in the musical stage adaption of Sleepless In Seattle however this has been postponed until 2018.

The Hollyoaks’stars theatre credits include Wicked and Warner Huntington III in Curve’s Legally Blonde.

Ria Jones will play Norma Desmond, Jones returns to the role having understudied Glenn Close in the most recent West End production last year.

The tour will open at Leicester Curve, playing from 16 September thru 30 September 2017 and will travel to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Dublin and Milton Keynes.
