Queen Anne announces further West End cast

Further casting has been announced for the RSC’s West End production of Queen Anne

‘Captain America‘ actress Daisy Ashford, Sheena Bhattessa (Whitechapel), Gabrielle Brooks (Lazarus), Dave Fishley (Hamlet, RSC), Jonny Glynn (Hamlet, RSC), Chu Omambala (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, RSC) and Sid Sagar (The Hollow Crown)will join previously announced Romola Garai and Emma Cunnife who star as Sarah, Duchess of Marlborough and Queen Anne.

The cast also features Jonathan Christie, Michael Fenton Stevens, James Garnon, Richard Hope, Hywel Morgan, Beth Park and Carl Prekopp.

Queen Anne explores the life of one of England’s little-known sovereigns and her intimate friendship with her childhood confidante Sarah, Duchess of Marlborough. A timely production for turbulent political climes, the reign of Queen Anne saw the rise of the free press as well as the Act of Union between England and Scotland.
