Love In Idleness starring Eve Best. Apollo Theatre, London

West End transfer confirmed for Love and Idleness starring Eve Best

Trevor Nunn’s Menier Chocolate Factory production of Love and Idleness will transfer to the Apollo Theatre in London’s West End.

Set in war-time Britain, Olivier Award winner Eve Best (who will transfer with the production) shines as a flirtatious widow torn between her lover and the unexpected return of her only child.

Nunn’s production marries two versions of Rattigan’s play, Less Than Kind and the radically revised Love in Idleness.

Rattigan once again returns to his favourite subject of co-dependent relationships and the emotional blackmail people put on each other.

The cast also features Anthony Head, Edward Bluemel, Vivienne Rochester and Nicola Sloane.

The production opened to favourable reviews last week, having already sold-out the limited run at the south London venue.

Love in Idleness will play 50 performances from 11 May 2017 until 1 July 2017 at the Apollo Theatre.
