School Of Rock announces West End extension

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical School Of Rock has extended its West End run until April 2017.

The production opened to rave reviews this week and is now a hit on both Broadway and the West End.

School of Rock – The Musical is a stage adaption of the 2003 film which starred Jack Black and is written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellows. It is directed by Laurence Connor.

The London production stars David Fynn in the lead role of Dewey, the lovable loser who takes a job as a teacher in an exclusive school only to discover that his pupils are budding rock stars. Also featured are Florence Andrews as Headmistress Rosalie Mullins, Oliver Jackson as best friend Ned Schneebly and Preeya Kalidas as Ned’s exasperated girlfriend. The children are played by three teams who alternate the roles.

School of Rock – The Musical is now booking until 9 April 2017 at the New London Theatre.
