David Tennant to star in Patrick Marber’s Don Juan in Soho

David Tennant returns to the stage in a new production of Partrick Marber’s Don Juan in Soho, directed by Marber.

The production will open in Spring 2017 at the Wyndham’s Theatre for a limited run with Tennant playing the lothario title role.

Tennant has been extremely busy of late filming the final season of ITV series Broadchurch with Olivia Coleman. He was last on stage in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s King and Country cycle of plays in New York playing Richard II. His last appearance in the West End was in Josie Rourke’s production of Much Ado About Nothing in 2011.

Marber’s contemporary take on the classic Molière comedy Dom Juan, premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in December 2006 starring Rhys Ifans and was directed by Michael Grandage.

This production will have set and costume designs by Olivier Award winner Anne Fleischle (Hangmen) and sound and music by Adam Cork.

Further casting will be announced.

Don Juan in Soho will run from 17 March 2017 until 10 June 2017 at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
