Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire will star in the 2017 season production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at The Old Vic Theatre.
Daniel Radcliffe will play the simple minded Rosencrantz with McGuire playing Guildenstern.
Radcliffe, who is best known for the harry Potter film franchise, returns to the stage following his recent performance in the Donmar Warehouse Broadway production of Privacy. His other theatre credits include The Cripple of Inishmaan (Noel Coward Theatre and Broadway), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Broadway) and Equus (Gielgud Theatre and Broadway).
McGuire’s theatrical work includes Future Conditional (The Old Vic), The Ruling Class (Trafalgar Studios), Amadeus (Chichester), Privacy (Donmar Warehouse), The Magistrate (National Theatre) and Posh (Royal Court and West End).

This new production marks the 50th anniversary since Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead premiered on The Old Vic stage, making Tom Stoppard’s name overnight.
Broadway and West End director David Leveaux will direct with further creative and casting to be announced.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern will run from 25 February 2017 until 6 May 2017 at The Old Vic Theatre.
