Willemijn Verkaik will return to role of Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked from 30 January 2017.
Willemijn has played Elphaba on Broadway, the West End, Germany and Holland, and is the only person to have performed the role in more than one language. Wicked tickets are now booking through May 2020 in London.
She recently starred as Kala in Disney’s Tarzan in Stuttgart, and provided the singing voice of ‘Elsa’ in the Dutch and German language versions of Disney’s Academy® Award-winning film Frozen.
Also joining the cast in January will be Sue Kelvin as Madame Morrible and Sarah McNicholas as Nessarose.
The award-winning musical by Stephen Schwartz tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, and celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Apollo Victoria Theatre this month with a special gala on 27 September.
Wicked is booking until 23 May 2020 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London.
