The Broadway production will end its 11 year run on 15 January 2017, having played 4,642 performances at the August Wilson Theatre.
The hit musical is currently the 12th longest running show in Broadway history, passing original Broadway productions of Miss Saigon, 42nd Street, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Producers. It’s also one of only five currently running shows to play over 10 years on Broadway.
Jersey Boys is the behind-the-music story of international boy band Franki Valli and The Four Seasons. The show features their greatest hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Oh What A Night, Walk Like A Man, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and Working My Way Back To You.
Dancing with the Stars superstar Mark Ballas will be the final actor to take on the iconic role of Frankie Valli making his Broadway debut in the show on 18 October 2016. Ballas will continue in the role through the end of the show’s historic run next year.
The London production of Jersey Boys celebrated its 8th year in April 2016 with a gala performance and is currently booking until April 2017.
