Casting announced for The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism at Hampstead Theatre

Casting has been announced for the UK premiere of The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures at Hampstead Theatre.

Tamsin Greig will play the role of Empty alongside David Calder who plays Gus, Daniel Flynn as Adam, Jessica Hynes as Maeve.

Other casting includes Sara Kestelman as Clio, Katie Leung as Sooze, Matt McGrath as Pill, Luke Newberry as Eli, Lex Shrapnel as V, Katy Stephens as Shelle and Rhashan Stone as Paul. The production will be directed by Michael Boyd.

Tony Kushner’s latest play is about a retired longshoreman who feels the world has turned its back on him and decides to call his three children back to Brooklyn for a reunion. The piece is set in New York in 2007 and is about a family trying to find meaning in the world.

The production is directed by Michael Boyd, with design by Tom Piper, lighting by Wolfgang Goebbel, and sound by David Paul Jones.

The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures will run from 15 October to 26 November at Hampstead Theatre.
