JK Rowling attends the gala performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre.

JK Rowling spoke with fans and signed autographs as she arrived for the gala performance at the Palace Theatre earlier today.

Guest walking the red carpet at the family and friends special performance included the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, producer Sonia Friedman, comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, theatre director Indhu Rubasingham and actors Andrew Scott, Lesley Manville and Laura Carmichael.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child officially opened earlier this week to a string of four and five star reviews.
