Watch James Corden’s opening number at the 70th annual Tony Awards in New York.

After opening the Tony Awards with a speech paying tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting, host James Corden went on to perform a medley of numbers from Broadway shows including  Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd and the Lion King.  IN a tweet this morning, the host of The Late Late Show thanked Take That’s Gary Barlow and writer David Javerbaum for their help in writing the opening skit which also included Corden doing a tap routine.
