Stephen Daldry’s award-winning production of An Inspector Calls is to return to the West End.
Hailed as the theatrical event of its generation, the production which marks its 25th anniversary this year, will run from 4 November 2016 until 4 February 2017 at the Playhouse Theatre.
Set ahead of the First World War, a peaceful family dinner party is shattered when a mysterious inspector unexpectedly arrives, investigating the death of a young woman. J
B Priestley’s chilling play is as relevant now as it was when it was first performed in 1945, this is a must-see for a whole new generation of theatregoers.
Daldry said: “Each time we have mounted this production it seems more relevant than the last with the refugee crisis, the European referendum debate and American elections, you can’t fail to see the genius of Priestley’s writing.”
