David Hunter to replace Killian Donnelly in Kinky Boots

Killian Donnelly is to leave West End hit show Kinky Boots, with David Hunter taking on the role of Charlie Price.

Hunter joins the production on 15 August 2016 alongside other new cast members including Alan Mehdizadeh, who will play Don, Elena Skye as Lauren, and Cordelia Farnworth as Nicola.

Matt Henry, who received the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical will stay with the musical into next year.

New cast members also include James Ballanger, Jemal Felix, George Grayson, Melissa Jacques, Charlotte Jeffery, Suzie McAdam, Jane Milligan, Robin Mills, Jon Reynolds, Ben Sell, Craig Thomas and Jason Winter.

David Hunter’s previous credits include Once and One Man, Two Guvnors.

Killian Donnelly (Charlie Price), Amy Lennox (Lauren), Jamie Baughan (Don) and Amy Ross (Nicola) will all play their final performances on Saturday 13 August 2016.

Kinky Boots has a book by Harvey Fierstein, with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper.
