Casting has been announced for the new dance thriller based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s Jekyll and Hyde, which opens at the Old Vic in May 2016.
Devised, directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie, with music by Grant Olding and design by Soutra Gilmore, the production will feature Daniel Collins (Show Boat, Crucible) as Dr Jekyll, Tim Hodges (The Car Man, Sadler’s Wells) as Mr Hyde and Rachel Muldoon (Wicked, West End) as Dahlia.
The cast also includes Ashley Andrews, Joao Carolino, Carrie Taylor Johnson, Anabel Kutay, Ebony Molina, Fraya Rowley, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Barnaby Thompson and Jason Winter.
McOnie’s recent credits include In the Heights (Southwark Playhouse & King’s Cross Theatre), Oklahoma! (UK tour), Bugsy Malone (Lyric Hammersmith) and Chicago and DRUNK for Leicester Curve.
McOnie will also direct and choreograph the forthcoming production of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom at the West Yorkshire Playhouse later this year.
Jekyll and Hyde runs at the Old Vic from 20 May 2016 until 28 May 2016.
