Penelope Keith reunites with director Alan Strachan in the world premiere of Mrs Pat, a new play by Anton Burge about the celebrated 19th and 20th century actress Mrs Patrick Campbell.
Mrs Pat plays a limited run from 15 October 2015 until 7 November 2015 and forms part of the Chichester Festival Theatre Winter 2015 season.
Also receiving its world premiere is Walter & Lenny, a play about the friendship between composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein and the Dean of Chichester Cathedral, Walter Hussey whose collaboration led to the composition of The Chichester Psalm, which celebrates its 50th anniversary performance this year. Directed by Julia St John, the play runs from 11 November 2015 until 14 November 2015.
The Winter season will also include Olivier award winning drama King Charles III (3 November – 5 December 2015), 60th anniversary production of classic thriller Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap (23 – 28 November 2015) and Alan Bennett’s Single Spies (4 -13 February 2015) which chronicles the lives of Guy Burgess and Anthony Blunt, two of the ‘Cambridge Five’ spy ring in the 1950’s.
