Reviews: Sinatra at the London Palladium theatre

A reviews round-up for Sinatra at the London Palladium

Frank is back! Celebrating the centenary of Sinatra’s birth this new multi-media concept, featuring rare or never before seen footage of Sinatra, a 24 piece orchestra, 20 singers and dancers and a sensational live dancing Sinatra has opened at the London Palladium theatre.

Reviews have been mixed but that was always going to be the case with a new multimedia concept show featuring the legendary performer. In an age where screens are so integral to live concerts, festival and events this show fits right in with the concert type experience and is definitely worthwhile seeing.

Sinatra The Man and His Music plays a strictly limited season from 10 July 2015 until 10 October 2015 at the London Palladium Theatre.

Average rating score for this production

“Ol’ Blue Eyes is back and as brilliant as ever” “slick and wholeheartedly entertaining” “Some of the best sequences touch on Sinatra’s melancholic side: cigarette in hand, singing One for My Baby; a sequence devoted to his tempestuous marriage to Mia Farrow, accompanied by a forlorn Maybe This Time.”

“‘As close as you can get to Frank Sinatra in concert” “A finely engineered show full of glitz puts Sinatra centre stage”

“Frank Sinatra was back on stage at the Palladium, in voice, image and spirit" “powerfully effective”

“Pirouetting dancers and a live big band, all watched over by the sultan of swoon”
