Jim Broadbent is reportedly in negotiations to take to the London stage this Christmas in a production of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. Considered staple viewing over the holiday season, Dickens novella first published in 1843 was a rejuvenating force in reviving the old Christmas traditions in England.
A Christmas Tale tells the story of a bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge who transforms into a kinder and more giving man after visitations from the ghost of his former business partner and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Given the numerous adaptations to film, TV and theatre, Dickens story continues to delight audiences and this production is sure to be a great success.
A Christmas Carol starring Jim Broadbent will play the Noel Coward theatre in late November / early December 2015.
