Affluenza, the play marking Noah Schnapp’s stage debut, has extended its run at Riverside Studios due to early ticket demand and released new rehearsal photos of the cast and writer/director Andy Sandberg.
Affluenza has extended its run at Riverside Studios and is now booking to 28 November 2026, with extra performances added on 4 October and 3 November following strong box office demand ahead of previews. The extension comes as new rehearsal photos have been released of the cast and writer/director Andy Sandberg, alongside Noah Schnapp (Stranger Things), who is making his stage debut, and Janette Manrara (Strictly Come Dancing).
About Affluenza
When a teen’s drunken car ride ends in devastation, the verdict comes down to one question: is it possible to be too affluent to know the difference between right and wrong? Affluenza is inspired by true events surrounding a shocking legal defence, and explores the ripple effects of power and privilege against the ultra-wealthy backdrop of the Hamptons, raising questions about moral accountability, family legacy and the American justice system.
The play also stars Rupert Young (Bridgerton), Juliet Cowan (Broken Glass), Wallis Currie-Wood (Elektra) and Donald Sage Mackay (Indian Ink).
Affluenza will open Mainstage Season 26/27 as part of a season of five new plays at Riverside Studios all directed by Sandberg. Affluenza will be followed by Sacrilegious from Oscar-winning Dead Poets Society writer Tom Schulman, and Expecting by Scott Elmegreen and Drew Fornarola.
