ATTENTION is a queer play about why and how we choose to pay attention, and the effort and sweat needed to build a life with someone.

The play was nominated for 7 awards at the 2025 Dublin Fringe Awards, including Best Production and the Radical Spirit Award.

Original cast members Bláithín Mac Gabhann and Norah Lopez Holden return for this Bush Theatre run, in a production critics have called a “swooning play” featuring “one of the best duets of the year” (Feeling Good).

They stand at the edge of a circle. They look across at her, standing there too. Every day, for the last seven years, they’ve both stepped inside. Together. Again and again and again. And today, they go again.

A queer play about why and how we choose to pay attention, about the effort and sweat needed to build a life with someone, and about whether love is enough to save us. Every night the actors choose how to tell the story — they might restart, fast-forward, or stop altogether — navigating the truth of their relationship like a match between two players, trying every night to end on the same page.
