Ahead of its 75th anniversary UK tour, take a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals for Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap as it prepares to open in Birmingham next month.
New images have been released of the cast in rehearsals for the 75th anniversary UK tour of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. This new tour will see Agatha Christie’s classic whodunnit tour across more than 25 cities across the UK and Ireland.
Running since 1952, the play recently celebrated its 30,000th West End performance and received a Guinness World Records certificate for the longest theatrical run.

The cast of The Mousetrap
This classic whodunnit follows seven strangers trapped in a remote guesthouse, just as a police detective arrives with the news that a murderer might be in their midst. The cast of the UK tour includes:
- Nicholas Bailey as Major Metcalf
- Susan Penhaligon as Mrs Boyle
- Emily Laing as Mollie Ralston
- Jack Hardwick as Giles Ralston
- Thomas Barrett as Christopher Wren
- Clare Duffy as Miss Casewell
- James Peake as Mr Paravicini
- Alfie Richards as Detective Sergeant Trotter
The tour is directed by Hannah Chissick, with lighting design by Nic Farman, casting by Denise Silvey and resident direction by Myles Brown.
