Award-winning London City Ballet, former resident company of Sadler’s Wells, returns to the historic venue this autumn, with a unique double bill of works making their UK premieres.

Celebrated international choreographer John Neumeier creates a new version of his 2020 piece Ghost Light, performed for the very first time outside of the Hamburg Ballet. This moving ballet, offers a glimpse at the spirits of those artists who once inhabited our stages. Celebrated ballerina Alina Cojocaru will star as the Guest Artist.

The company also pays homage to American choreographer Glen Tetley with a revival of his gothic retelling of Firebird. Set to Stravinsky’s famous score, this production illustrates a young woman breaking free from the constraints of a controlling family. The ballet’s original designer, Olivier Award-winning John MacFarlane, revisits his 1981 designs for this revival.
