See behind the scenes with Roger Allam, Dorothy Atkinson and the cast of How the Other Half Loves in rehearsals. The Alan Ayckbourn revival is set to begin performances at the Old Vic at the end of this month.

It was announced last month that How the Other Half Loves would be included in Artistic Director Matthew Warchus’s final season at the Old Vic. The 1969 play explores the adulterous affair between a married man and his boss’s wife, and their chaotic attempts to cover their tracks. When an unsuspecting third couple gets drawn into the drama, all hell threatens to break lose.

The cast of How the Other Half Lovesf includes:

  • Roger Allam as Frank Foster, the generous but absent-minded boss.
  • Dorothy Atkinson as Fiona Foster, his emotionally distant wife who is having an affair with Bob.
  • Rowan Polonski as Bob Phillips, an ambitious employee having an affair with his boss’s wife.
  • Ayesha Antoine as Teresa Phillips, Bob’s neglected wife who’s been looking after their baby near single-handedly.
  • Adam Gillen as William Featherstone, a fellow employee, unwittingly dragged into the fray.
  • Laura Elsworthy as Mary Featherstone, William’s sheltered wife.

Directed by Phillip Breen, the creative team includes set & costume by Rob Howell, lighting by Azusa Ono and sound by Dyfan Jones.
