Check out new production photos for Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare’s Globe. The production runs at the open air venue until 26 October 2026.
Now playing at Shakespeare’s Globe is classic enemies-to-lovers comedy Much Ado About Nothing. One of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, this new production is directed by Chelsea Walker (R.O.I (Return on Investment), All’s Well That Ends Well).
Starring as central couple Beatrice and Benedick are Pippa Nixon (The Importance of Being Earnest, The Tempest) and Ken Nwosu (Killing Eve, The Big Door Prize).
What is Much Ado About Nothing about?
In sunny Messina, Hero and Claudio have fallen in love. Hero’s sister Beatrice has sworn off men and has a particular ire toward Claudio’s comrade Benedick. Known for trading more barbs than kind works, friends of the pair conspire to trick them into admitting their love for one another. Meanwhile, Don John, who is jealous of Claudio, plots to pull the lovers apart.
One of Shakespeare’s more popular, and most performed plays, it’s an unfiltered look at bad behaviour, bruised pride and the courage it takes to believe in love again.
