The global stage premiere of The Hunger Games: On Stage has extended its London run through to February 2027, with new production photos, a new trailer and two special foyer exhibitions also announced.
The Hunger Games: On Stage has just extended and is now booking to 14 February 2027 at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London. Tickets for performances from 28 October 2026 go on general sale tomorrow on 29 May 2026.
Alongside the extension, the production has released new photos and a new trailer. They have also announced two special exhibitions running in the theatre foyer throughout May and June. The first, a floral installation celebrating the forthcoming release of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, and a display of original costumes used in connection with the first film.

About The Hunger Games: On Stage
The first-ever stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ globally acclaimed novel and Lionsgate’s blockbuster film franchise is set in a dystopian future where 24 young tributes are forced to fight to the death in a nationally televised spectacle. The production follows Katniss Everdeen: a resourceful and fearless heroine from the impoverished District 12 as she becomes an unwilling symbol of rebellion against the authoritarian Capitol.

A brand new trailer for The Hunger Games: On Stage has been released alongside the extension announcement, offering a fresh look at the production’s spectacular staging, the theatre-in-the-round design of the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre and the world of Panem brought to life on stage.
New production photos
Alongside the new trailer, there are also new production photographs, showcasing the scale and visual ambition of Matthew Dunster’s production: from the stark world of District 12 to the glittering excess of the Capitol, and the drama of the arena itself.
The cast and upcoming changes
The current production is led by Mia Carragher as Katniss Everdeen, with Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark, Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy, Tristan Waterson as Gale Hawthorne, Sophia Ally as Primrose Everdeen, Tamsin Carroll as Effie Trinket, Stavros Demetraki as Caesar Flickerman and Nathan Ives-Moiba as Cinna and Mayor. Hollywood legend John Malkovich plays President Snow on screen.
A second year cast will begin performances on 20 October 2026 but are yet to be announced.

Throughout May and June, the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre foyer is home to two special exhibitions: a floral installation created to mark the forthcoming release of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, and a display of original costumes from the first Hunger Games film. Both are free to view for ticket holders.
