The BBC has confirmed the broadcast date for this year’s The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals 2026.
When will Big Night of Musicals be broadcast on the BBC? The BBC has now confirmed that their UK broadcast of Big Night of Musicals 2026 will take place on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 28 March 2026 at 7.45pm.
The spectacular celebration concert of all things musical theatre took place on 26 January 2026 at the AO Arena in Manchester.
This is the fifth year of the musicals event, which celebrates the great work of National Lottery funding to support more than 29,000 theatre-related projects nationwide, contributing over £1.4 billion.
The 2026 concert was once again hosted by actor and comedian Jason Manford (Something Rotten!).
The BBC has now scheduled the broadcast of the concert, which will play on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 28 March 2026, at 7.45pm.

- The X Factor winner and West End favourite Alexandra Burke who closed the night with a medley of songs from new show I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical
- A Disney medley of shows, including The Lion King opening the concert, and numbers from Pocahontas, Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast
- Cameron Mackintosh’s hit shows Miss Saigon – which is coming back to the West End next year, and Oliver!
- Annie starring Strictly contestant and drag queen star La Voix as Miss Hannigan
- Hit West End revival of The Producers at the Garrick Theatre in London
- Blockbuster, long-running West End show Wicked starring Emma Kingston and Zizi Strallen
