UPDATE (17 February 2026): The forthcoming production of The Opera Locos at the Peacock Theatre has also been cancelled due to the unexpected and immediate essential building works that need to be carried out at the venue. Existing ticket holders for the Peacock Theatre will be notified by their point of purchase. The production will now run on the same dates (24 – 28 February 2026) at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London.
Sadler’s Wells in London has moved its current production of TUTU Chicos Mambo to another venue, due to issues with the Peacock Theatre in the West End.
The show was originally scheduled to start tonight, 11 February 2026, at the Peacock Theatre, which is managed by Sadler’s Wells.
However, customers have been notified that TUTU at the Peacock Theatre has been cancelled due to “unexpected and immediate essential maintenance work that needs to be carried out to the building”.
The production has now been moved to their sister venue Sadler’s Wells East in Stratford, London, and will start performances tonight, 11 February, until 15 February.
Ticket holders for TUTU are being notified by their point of purchase about moving their dates.
A Sadler’s Wells spokesperson said: “Regrettably, Sadler’s Wells has been notified by our landlord, the LSE, that the Peacock Theatre must close temporarily for unexpected essential building works. Chicos Mambo’s TUTU will now be presented at Sadler’s Wells East in Stratford from Wednesday 11 – Sunday 15 February 2026. Customers have been contacted directly to arrange rebooking, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused due to circumstances beyond our control.”
TUTU from acclaimed dance company Chicos Mambo is a hilarious dance journey, choreographed by Philippe Lafeuille. In the show, incredible dance skills and inventive parody intertwine, featuring an all-male cast of six dancers.
No other forthcoming Peacock Theatre shows are believed to be affected. Their next show is The Opera Locos from 24 February 2026.
