The first production photos have been released of new West End musical The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry in London starring Mark Addy and Jenna Russell.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is now playing in the West End for a strictly limited season at Theatre Royal Haymarket until 18 April 2026.

Based on the best-selling book by Rachel Joyce, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry has a fabulous score by Mike Rosenberg (Passenger).

The stars of Harold Fry

The West End cast is led by Mark Addy (The Full Monty, Game of Thrones) as Harold Fry and Jenna Russell (Sunday in the Park with George, Hello, Dolly!) as Maureen Fry, with Noah Mullins (Hadestown, Rent, Jagged Little Pill) starring as The Balladeer.

The cast also includes Peter Polycarpou as Rex, Locum and Ensemble, and Maggie Service as Queenie Hennessey, Fairy Assistant, Gorilla and Ensemble.

The company is completed by Craig Armstrong (Rich and Ensemble), Jenna Boyd (Sister Philomena, Farmer’s Wife, Rita and Ensemble), Daniel Crossley (Silver Haired Gentleman, Napier and Ensemble), Nell Martin (Young Maureen, Deliveroo and Ensemble), Nicole Nyarambi (Garage Girl and Ensemble), Gleanne Purcell-Brown (Kate, Betsy, Kind Customer and Ensemble), Ashley Samuels (Wilf, Jim and Ensemble), Madeleine Worrall (Martina and Ensemble), and Timo Tatzber (Dog, Young Harold, Ensemble and Puppet Captain); and the Swings are Gemma Atkins, Olivia Foster-Browne, Ediz Mahmut, and Edwin Ray (Swing, Trainer Man and Dance Captain).
