Beaches, A New Musical will open on Broadway this spring at the Majestic Theatre, following a sold-out and award-winning international premiere.
The production will begin previews on Friday 27 March, ahead of an official opening night on Wednesday 22 April 2026, and will run through Sunday 6 September 2026.
The Broadway engagement will serve as the launchpad for a forthcoming multi-city US national tour.
Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Iris Rainer Dart, which inspired the iconic 1988 film, Beaches brings one of popular culture’s most celebrated friendships to the stage. The musical charts the decades-long bond between two women, tracing their relationship from childhood through love, rivalry, loss and triumph.
The Broadway production stars Jessica Vosk as the brash, charismatic Cee Cee and Kelli Barrett as the elegant and introspective Bertie. Both performers reprise the roles they originated in the musical’s world premiere at Theatre Calgary in 2024, where the production received widespread acclaim and multiple awards.

Further casting to be announced.
The creative team includes a book by Iris Rainer Dart and Thom Thomas, lyrics by Dart, and music by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Mike Stoller.
Direction is shared by Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Lonny Price (Sunset Boulevard, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill) and Matt Cowart. The musical was developed in collaboration with David Austin.
Joining the production team are choreographer Jennifer Rias, Tony Award-winning orchestrator Charlie Rosen, scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Tracy Christensen, lighting designer Ken Billington, sound designer Kai Harada, projection designer David Bengali, and wig, hair and make-up designer J. Jared Janas. Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting, with Joseph Thalken as music supervisor.

Beaches, A New Musical is produced by Jennifer Maloney-Prezioso, Douglas McJannet for Arden Entertainment, Alison Spiriti and Justin Sudds for Right Angle Entertainment, and Ryan Bogner and Tracey McFarland for Broadway & Beyond Theatricals, with Crossroads Live producing the national tour.
Tickets will go on sale in January 2026.
