Book tickets to Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia in the West End
Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 20 June 2026. Following a sell-out run at The Old Vic, this critically acclaimed production is brought to the West End by director Carrie Cracknell.
Opening at the Duke of York’s Theatre, specially renovated in-the-round for this production, this revival brings audiences closer than ever to Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia.
Brilliant minds. Burning hearts. The irresistible pull between chaos and order. Blending science, romance and intellectual intrigue, Arcadia is widely regarded as one of the greatest modern plays — “a fitting tribute to Tom Stoppard’s genius” (The Standard).
A tremendous cast includes Isis Hainsworth (Red Rose, Metal Lords), who was nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance as Thomasina Coverly, with Nikki Amuka-Bird (NW, Small Island) as Hannah Jarvis, and Oliver Chris (Rivals) as Bernard Nightingale.

What is Arcadia about?
‘Sex, the attraction that Newton left out.’
Brilliant minds, burning hearts and the unstoppable pull between chaos and order.
In a country house, two centuries apart, genius unfolds. A teenage prodigy explores the mathematics of the universe, while in the present day, scholars investigate the past — seeking truth, proof, and perhaps each other.
A dazzling collision of intellect and emotion, Arcadia remains one of Tom Stoppard’s most acclaimed and enduring works.
