The cast has been announced for the West End production of White Christmas at the Dominion Theatre
Rehearsals have kicked off this week ahead of the opening of WHITE CHRISTMAS at the Dominion Theatre.
This festive treat opens on 8 November 2014 for a strictly limited 8 week season until 3 January 2015.
The full cast of the show has now been announced, led by TV host Aled Jones as Bob Wallace, Top Hat star and Strictly winner Tom Chambers as Phil Davis, Coronation Street’s Wendi Peters as Martha, plus Graham Cole as General Waverley, Rachel Stanley as Betty Haynes and Louise Bowden as Judy Haynes.
Other cast include Lori Haley Fox, Michelle Bishop, Phil Cole, Brendan Cull and Jonathan Halliwell. Also in the cast are Vikki-Marie Ryan, Lucinda Lawrence, Karen Aspinall, Emma Caffrey, Hayley Reed, Helen Patching, Vicki Davids, Jennifer Davison, Grace Holdstock, Ross McLaren, Joshua Lay, Matt Cheney, Jonny Labey, Anthony Whiteman, Eddie Myles, Stuart Winter, Matt Clark and Gary Murphy. Amy Snudden, Emily Robins, Sophia Pettet and Tatum Confrey will alternate the role of Susan.
An 18-piece orchestra will accompany the cast, singing some much-loved songs including Let Yourself Go, Sisters, The Best Things Happen When You’re Dancing, Snow, Count Your Blessings, Blue Skies, Love You Didn’t Do Right By Me, How Deep Is The Ocean, I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm and, of course, the title song, White Christmas.
Irving Berlin’s classic musical White Christmas is the tale of two ex-army pals who team up with a pair of sisters to put on a show to save their former General’s remote Vermont ski lodge that’s fallen on hard times.
With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, White Christmas is directed by Morgan Young and choreographed by Randy Skinner.
The Dominion Theatre, which has recently reopened after refurbishment, is currently hosting Andrew Lloyd Webber’s EVITA starring Marti Pellow until 1 November.
