Casting has been announced for the London return of hit musical Cable Street.

Cable Street is playing at Marylebone Theatre in London from 16 January to 28 February 2026.

The show has already enjoyed two sell-out seasons at Southwark Playhouse, and features music and lyrics by Tim Gilvin, and book and lyrics by Alex Kanefsky.

Cable Street is directed by Adam Lenson.

The cast will star Debbie Chazen (Murder on the Orient Express, Jews. In Their Own Words) as Kathleen / Oonagh / Mrs Gertz, Preeya Kalidas (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Edie / Elizabeth, Ethan Pascal Peters (Muriel’s Wedding) as Moishe, Max Alexander-Taylor (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Sean, Aoife Mac Namara (Sleeping Beauty) as Orlaith, Jez Unwin (Groundhog Day) as Yitzhak / Mick, Lizzy-Rose Esin-Kelly (The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical) as Mairead, Isaac Gryn (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Sammy, Barney Wilkinson (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Ron, Romona Lewis-Malley (Clueless) as Rosa, and Natalie Elisha Welsh (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Rachel.

The ensemble features Annie Majin (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812) and Michali Dantes (Jesus Christ Superstar).

The creative team for the show also includes producer Dylan Scholsberg, associate producer Neil Marcus, musical supervisor Tamara Saringer, choreographer Jevan Howard Jones, costume designer Lu Herbert, lighting designers Sam Waddington and Ben Jacobs, casting director Olivia Laydon for Jill Green Casting, and set designer Yoav Segal. The show is produced by 10 to 4 Productions and Neil Marcus.

Cable Street tells the true story of the Battle of Cable Street in 1936, and the stories of people living in London’s East End during the 1930’s. The musical centres on three young workers: Polish Jew, Sammy; an Irish Catholic, Mairead; and a Lancastrian Brit, Ron; with the musical raising important questions around which side the young protagonists and their families are fighting for.

Cable Street garnered a range of positive reviews from both of its previous London runs including five-stars from What’s On Stage, and the Guardian hailing the musical as a “dazzling musical portrait of a community against fascism”.
