The first trailer has been released of the new UK and Ireland tour of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile.

The tour of Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery is touring to London Richmond, Chichester, Cheltenham, Malvern, Aberdeen, Glasgow, York, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Brighton, Birmingham, Nottingham, Dublin, Belfast, Norwich, Cambridge, and Plymouth. See all dates and venues.

Death on the Nile stars Mark Hadfield (Belfast, Into the Woods, Outlander) as famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, with Glynis Barber (Dempsey and Makepeace, Hollyoaks, The Outpost) as Salome Otterbourne and Bob Barrett (Holby City, Shakespeare in Love, Murder on the Orient Express) as Poirot’s trusted friend, Colonel Race.

The cast also includes Libby Alexandra-Cooper as Linnet Ridgeway, Camilla Anvar as Rosalie Otterbourne, Howard Gossington as Atticus Praed, Esme Hough as Jacqueline de Bellefort, Helen Katamba as Annabelle Pennington, Nye Occomore as Simon Doyle, Nicholas Prasad as Ramses Praed and Terence Wilton as Septimus Troy.

This new production of Death on the Nile reunites director Lucy Bailey (Witness for the Prosecution), writer Ken Ludwig (Crazy For You) and producers Fiery Angel (War Horse), following their successful productions of Christie’s And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express.

Joining Lucy Bailey in the creative team are set and costume design by Mike Britton, lighting design by Oliver Fenwick, sound design by Mic Pool and movement direction by Liam Steele. Lucy Waterhouse will be associate director and Helena Palmer is casting director.

Death on the Nile is set on board a luxurious cruise under the heat of the Egyptian sun. A couple’s idyllic honeymoon is cut short by a brutal murder, and as secrets that have been buried in the sands of time finally resurface, can the world-famous detective Hercule Poirot untangle the web of lies and solve another crime?
