Production photos have been released for Hamlet at Chichester Festival Theatre, starring Olivier Award-winner Giles Terera in the title role.

Directed by Justin Audibert, Hamlet is now playing at Chichester’s intimate Minerva Theatre, until 4 October 2025.

Giles Terera (Hamilton, Dr Strangelove, Othello, Blues for an Alabama Sky) stars as Hamlet, alongside BAFTA-winner Ariyon Bakare (Mr Loverman) as Claudius, Sara Powell (The Seagull, Damned) as Gertrude, Eve Ponsonby (The Stepmother, Miss Austen) as Ophelia and Keir Charles (Quiz, South Pacific) as Polonius.

The cast also includes Ryan Hutton (Only Fools and Horses, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Laertes, Sam Swann (The Comedy of Errors, One Day) as Horatio, Tim Preston and Jay Saighal as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Ozzy Aigbomian as Fortinbras.

The company is completed by David Angland (The Homecoming), Geoff Aymer (The Taxidermist’s Daughter), Nana Amoo-Gottfried (The Box of Delights), Simon Darwen (The Agency, Years and Years), Beatie Edney (Poldark), and Nick Howard-Brown (Hey! Christmas Tree).

Joining Justin Audibert in the creative team are Lily Arnold (design), Ryan Day (lighting), Ed Clarke (sound), Lucy Cullingford (movement), Cristian Cardenas (fight direction), and Matilda James CDG (casting).

Coming up as part of Chichester Festival Theatre’s 2025 season are William Golding’s enduring adventure Lord of the Flies (19 September – 11 October), adapted by Nigel Williams and directed by Anthony Lau (The Crucible, Miss Saigon); and a festive staging of Matt Haig’s A Boy Called Christmas (15 – 31 December).

Hamlet is now playing at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester, until 4 October 2025.
