Troubadour Theatres has announced that they are expanding into South London, building two new 1,500-seat auditoriums as part of Troubadour Greenwich Peninsula Theatre.
The new development builds on the success of Troubadour’s venue in North London, with Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre currently home to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Starlight Express.
Their latest venue is Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, which is in the final stages of construction in preparation for the world premiere of The Hunger Games On Stage.
The two new 1,500-seat spaces in Greenwich, which are timed to open in Autumn 2026, will act as receiving houses for existing productions, designed to host large-scale musicals and entertainment shows.

Starlight Express recently extended its run by seven weeks at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. The site in North London is set to be redeveloped as Fulton Quarter at Wembley Park, a major new development of 8,400 homes.
